In the case of a hot dog, environment is everything: The street-side
shack where you can catch a glimpse of a large grill topped with an
array of meat-and-bun treats, where you can either sit on a bench or
lean against your car as you eat, where you can pay with whatever
crumpled money and loose change you can dig up.
